mal wieder zwischendrin zu meinem Lieblingsthema

...die Kreuzfahrt, die Kreuzfahrtschiffe...

Queen Elisabeth 2

  2. oh yes Penny, the ship is very big and we went to 42 days. We flew to England, where we went on the ship, then we went to Falkland Islands and then back to England. Then the flight to Leipzig. It was a fantastic trip and unforgettable.
    Let's greet you ...

  3. It sounds like a great trip but I am not so sure I want to be on a cruise ship. Would you believe I have never been on a cruise?

  4. I have always said Penny, who mitfährt once with a Kruezfahrtschiff who wants it to do over again. We have made 15 trips with a big ship and it was so wonderful, I would immediately pack my bags and depart. Life on the ship is so eventful, so entertaining, so varied, it is just great. We always have to take an outside cabin, because I got claustrophobic in age. But that is also much more expensive. Well, first of all goes to Egypt in November. Later we'll see ...

  5. Hi Geli, Everyone that I know who has been on a cruise ship wants to go again. That must mean it is very nice thing to do but still I never do it. I am worried I think that it might be too elegant for me and too expensive if too would need an outside cabin. Maybe some day. I will love to see your photos if you go to Egypt. I am sure you will blog about it and I will enjoy it that way :-)

  6. o.k. Penny, a cruise is more expensive and also very elegant, I have bought for these trips a fine wardrobe that you need there. But I love it, you're always on the ship, but the ship sails and you see the next country. So you experienced a lot and looks a lot more than if you drive only in a hotel.
Do you tell me again how old are you?
Because the ships are more older people than younger people.
Only special ships such as the casino ships, or AIDA, as there are more young people. Since we do not want to ride, we want peace and I'll tell you honestly, although I'm usually really a simple person, on the ships in the trips I love the elegance and likes to pull my pretty things, otherwise I like it more casual.

I'm well again and slept 9 hours. Today I bake a cake with cherries and cheese and dough.

A beef I have here and which is now fried, then divided into portions and frozen.

You sleep and I just hope it is a good sleep. Then on Wednesday a lot of fun and have a good day.

    Best wishes from the Geli

PS. Certainly I'll be back many pictures and reports from Egypt used here.

  7. Dear Geli, thank you for giving me a nice explanation of the cruise ship. I too would have to buy a nice wardrobe for the cruising trip as at home I am only wearing mostly casual clothing or clothing for church. Not suitable clothing for an elegant dinner.

I am not yet a senior citizen though am not so young. I used to have both young and old friends who love to go on cruise ships a lot. So they take outside cabins too and they love to get dressed up so they don't mind to buy the clothes since they will cruise many times and not just one.

Personally I like peace and quiet and fine things so I would not enjoy a gambling cruise ship or where they are many young people partying. I do not like that kind of environment at all. I would like to spend some time in the pool, relaxing on deck, getting massages and watching shows...plays, musicals etc. So that is what I would do on a cruise ship besides enjoying the port stops.

When do you leave for Egypt?

  8. Hi Penny, as you explain it, so we also spend time on the ships. All alone, read a lot, listen to music and watch theater and swim in the pool. I love the sun and lie in the sun a lot. Then yes, the shore excursions, where you see a lot of experience, and can learn. Such are our things we do there.
On casino ships, we would never go.

In the last week of November we are in Egypt.

Have a nice weekend, my husband is now and there is breakfast.

Greetings to you from the Geli
